Padel ball pressurizer
Sustainaballs, 2024
Within the Ball as a Service project, a servitization model that recovers, reconditions, and redistributes discarded padel balls, a solution has been developed to reduce the enormous volume of balls that are thrown away each year after only a small number of matches.
The padel ball pressurizer makes it possible to restore the internal pressure of used balls and enable their reuse under playing conditions equivalent to those of a new ball. Typically, loss of pressure forces premature disposal; this device allows the balls to be reintroduced into the use cycle and significantly extends their service life.
Its design integrates engineering and industrial design criteria to withstand intensive and continuous use. Beyond the technical efficiency of the process, key aspects such as ergonomics, ease of handling, and robustness have been incorporated, facilitating operational implementation and real integration into a circular economy model.
