Figueras seating, 2023-2025

Support was provided for the ecodesign of Figueras seating through a comparative evaluation of different models representing various typologies, uses, and markets. The objective was to obtain a clear understanding of the environmental performance of the portfolio and to guide design-driven improvement decisions.

The work included the quantification of CO₂ emissions and the analysis of the circularity potential of each product, identifying the main impact hotspots associated with materials, processes, and construction configuration. Based on these results, ecodesign strategies were defined for each typology, including recommendations on material selection, component optimization, and end-of-life criteria.

As a next phase, continued support is proposed for the redesign process and for translating sustainability criteria into procurement specifications and technical requirements, ensuring that improvements can be effectively implemented across the supply chain and in production.
