Strategic assessment of sustainability and circularity potential (recycling and servitization).
Grau Space, 2024
Grau Space has promoted a strategic sustainability assessment to understand and improve the environmental performance of its portfolio from an operational and industrial perspective, aligned with the current demands of the educational market.
The work focused on diagnosing the real circularity potential of its products, addressing opportunities for recycling (materials, separability, end of life) and for evolution toward servitization models, which are especially relevant for intensive-use equipment. In parallel, a carbon footprint analysis was incorporated, identifying the main impact hotspots across the life cycle and their relationship with design and manufacturing decisions.
As a result, a prioritization framework was developed that connects environmental criteria, industrial feasibility, and product strategy, enabling concrete decisions on materials, processes, and business models to move toward more sustainable and scalable solutions.
