Design of recycled materials based on advertising textile waste
Easyplay, 2024
Easyplay is a provider of solutions for retail and trade fair environments, specializing in the production of graphic supports such as printed banners, commonly used in communication, signage, and temporary installations.
With a strong commitment to doing things properly and reducing the impact associated with these materials, the company has initiated a transition process toward more circular models. The first phase has focused on the evaluation, classification, and internal diagnosis of the waste generated, with particular attention to the volume of printed banner offcuts and production rejects, which currently represent a significant and difficult-to-manage fraction.
Based on this diagnosis, a valorization process has been developed to transform these wastes into new materials, assessing different technological pathways and the real potential for recovery. The result has been the consolidation of an open-loop route to obtain a non-textile material, available in different levels of rigidity and performance, with promising application potential and the capacity for future integration into the company’s portfolio.
